Engineering Lead Guide

Tandemu gives engineering leads visibility into team productivity without invasive monitoring. Everything is derived from Claude Code telemetry and your existing ticket system.

No manual reporting. No surveys. No keystroke tracking.

What the dashboard shows you

The Tandemu dashboard surfaces five categories of insight from your team’s AI-assisted development:

Dashboard — KPI cards, charts, and tables showing team velocity, AI code ratio, tool usage, investment allocation, and developer activity. Includes DORA-inspired metrics: deployment frequency (task completion rate) and lead time (average cycle time). Change failure rate and time to restore require CI/CD integration not yet available.

Activity — Session tracking and time data. See who’s active, how long sessions last, and daily activity patterns. Time is captured automatically from Claude Code sessions — no manual entry.

Insights — AI investment analysis: productivity multiplier, capacity freed, cost per task, throughput trends, and an AI adoption leaderboard. Use this to quantify the ROI of AI coding tools.

Friction Map — Files and components where developers repeatedly struggle show up as friction hotspots. Tandemu detects prompt loops (where a developer keeps retrying the same approach) and tool failures (where Claude Code operations fail repeatedly). These signals highlight areas that need better documentation, refactoring, or architectural attention.

AI Memory — Browse and manage your team’s knowledge base. See knowledge gaps (modules with frequent changes but no documented context), most-referenced memories, and cleanup candidates. Monitor memory health across the team.

Privacy by design

Tandemu captures metadata, not content. It records session durations, tool usage patterns, file paths, and success/failure signals. It does not log keystrokes, record screens, or capture prompt content. Developers see the same data their leads see — there’s no hidden dashboard.
